The 2nd Meeting of the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources annual session was held at Efalfal Resort, Pango from the 31st of June to the 3rd of July 2009.
Energy costs affect Vanuatu's Economy considerably in terms of, its government, the private sectors and the individual.
Energy costs find their way into socio-economic development. It may seem difficult to apply energy conservation to reduce costs however if done correctly, this is not difficult to achieve.
A workshop was conducted on the 9th of December 2009 to deal with energy efficiency, looking primarily at investing in energy auditing and efficiency in order to investigate its long term benefits financially and environmentally.
This workshop is part of a SOPAC and REEEP(Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership) initiative that will provide training on energy auditing, conducting awareness programmes and will look at standards and appliance labeling.
This initiative covers four Pacific Island Countries being Vanuatu, Samoa, Marshall Islands and Palau.
