CORPORATE SERVICES UNIT

The Ministry of Lands & Natural Resources is both a public service and revenue collecting agency for the Government of Vanuatu.

Mission Statement

To facilitate the sustainable development of the nation’s land, minerals, water, resources for the social and economic well-being of the people of Vanuatu.

Corporate Services Unit has 4 areas:

information communication technology (ICT)

Objective: Manage IT policies, equipment & software
The main function of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Unit is to manage and maintain the Ministry of Lands & Natural Resources Network, servers , IT infrastructure ,Disaster Recovery Centers and Vanuatu Land Information Management System (VLIMS).

Core functions carried out by the ICT Unit fall under five sections
.Host Geo-Servers & Other databases servers 
.Develop & Manage Geo-Spatial Data 
.Maintain Geographical Information System (GIS) 
.Develop and Maintain Vanuatu Land Information Management System (VLIMS)
.Helping employees troubleshoot problems with their computers & Network doing a range of other work to ensure the efficiency and security of Ministry information.
