ESMASP Conveyancing Lawyer
Deadline Extended: Submissions for this REOI now close at 2:00 pm, Friday 30 October 2026 (Vanuatu time), extended from 8 October 2026.
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, through the World Bank-financed VARS Project, is seeking an individual Conveyancing Lawyer to handle the legal side of selling 124 residential lots at the Elol Etas (Etas Gardens) Subdivision in Port Vila. Each lot sells at a fixed VT 1.71 million under a standard derivative lease.
The lawyer will prepare the sale documents, complete settlements, register the lease transfers with the Department of Lands, and explain the process clearly to purchasers, many of them first-time buyers. The work is standard and repetitive, and suits a qualified local practitioner. The assignment runs for about 18 months.
Applicants must be admitted to practise law in Vanuatu with a current practising certificate and at least five years of conveyancing experience, including leasehold and subdivision work. They must also be able to explain legal processes in English and Bislama. Sole practitioners are encouraged to apply.
